From April 26-29, 2017, John A. Kehoe, Esq. served as a faculty member with the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (“NITA”), teaching advanced deposition skills to practicing attorneys throughout multiple states who gathered in New Orleans for the intensive three-day program.   NITA’s learning-by-doing training program teaches deposition skills through a dynamic teaching method.

NITA is comprised of a dedicated team of professors, judges and practicing lawyers who believe that skilled and ethical advocacy is a critical component of legal professionalism and all systems of dispute resolution that seek justice.  NITA’s stated mission is as follows:

NITA’s team of practicing lawyers, professors and judges from around the nation dedicates its efforts to the training and development of skilled and ethical legal advocates to improve the adversarial justice system. NITA’s purpose is to:

  • Promote justice through effective and ethical advocacy;
  • Train and mentor lawyers to be competent and ethical advocates in pursuit of justice; and
  • Develop and teach trial advocacy skills to support and promote the effective and fair administration of justice.
