Bob is a past president of the National Conference on Public Employee Retirement Systems (“NCPERS”), serving in that position from May 2004 until May 2008. Bob has served on the NCPERS board as a trustee since 1995, in addition to past service on the Investment, Membership, and Resolutions Committees. Bob is the past First Vice President of Chicago’s Fraternal Order of Police (“FOP”) Lodge #7, for which he chaired numerous committees, and he also is a director of the Illinois Public Pension Fund Association.
Bob served as a Chicago Police Officer for over 33 years, and he was instrumental in obtaining collective bargaining rights for Chicago police officers. In addition to his collective bargaining expertise, Bob has dealt with a plethora of medical/health-related issues and disabilities of Chicago police officers.
